JOB DESCRIPTION The Senior PM/TC – F&B is an Owner’s representative that plans, directs, administers, and coordinates the necessary activities to open high-profile and complex Food and Beverage projects at Hudson Yards. Work will be in accordance with project specific goals and objectives established in collaboration with the Executive Management, Client and the Restauranteur. The Senior PM/TC – F&B will ensure the projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and budget and to the Client’s satisfaction.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Represent the firm with Clients, consultants, business partners and 3rd parties. 2. Acts as project liaison between all interested to ensure project progresses on schedule, within budget and to the satisfaction of the company and Client. Communicates with Clients regarding budget, scheduling and details as needed. 3. Assists Project Team by developing and coordinating necessary programming from initial design stage through close-out completion in adherence to company policy and to Client’s satisfaction. You will be working in conjunction with world-renowned architectural, engineering, contracting and supplier teams to deliver world-class F&B spaces. 4. Responsible for accurate and timely information on the project’s progress; updates this information into the Company’s systems and any required Client systems; reviews and approves custom fabrication, modifies schedules or budgets as required. Maintains regular communication with management and Clients and 3rd parties as to project’s status. 5. Vendor and FF&E coordination; base building coordination and interface. 6. Conducts site visits of assigned projects as needed to ensure proper design, construction and installation. 7. Pre- and post-opening coordination with F&B owners/operators and related personnel.
COMPETENCIES AND TECHNICAL SKILLS 1. Excellent organization and communication. 2. Relationship management. 3. Ability to read and understand construction drawings, perform take-offs, and identify conflicts. 4. Create budgets and construction cost estimates and manage to those. 5. Evaluate schedules and project timelines, identify areas of conflict and/or critical path. 6. Direct consultant team appropriately to achieve desired program goals and adjust when needed to changing program goals midstream. 7. AutoCAD, Bluebeam, PlanGrid or other construction drawing tools. 8. Project Management tracking software. 9. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office. 10. Scheduling Software; i.e. Microsoft Project.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION 1. Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year accredited college or university in a relevant field. 2. 12+ years’ experience in real estate construction project management on either the Landlord or Tenant side - working for a developer/owner, F&B ownership group, or general contractor. 3. 5+ years’ experience in food & beverage projects from predevelopment through construction, training and opening for business; direct experience with high profile, chef-driven individual and/or collective food and beverage projects is desired. 4. Recent New York City specific experience with NYC DOB, Fire and Health Departments, NY State Liquor Authority.
Additional Salary Information: This full-time position is salaried and designated FSLA exempt.
