The Assistant General Manager (AGM) will train under the General Manager for approximately 18 months to gain the knowledge and experience necessary to become a General Manager at one of Starwood Retail Partner’s properties. The AGM must be available to relocate to any of Starwood Retail Partner’s properties following the completion of the training period. This position is located in Strongsville, OH.
Assist in managing all shopping center operation, accounting, asset and personnel management functions which ultimately fall to the responsibility of the center’s General Manager, including:
Preparation of the annual center budget and business plan
Coordination of Specialty Leasing and Marketing programs
Establish and maintain relationships with retailers and tenants at the center
Participate in and be knowledgeable of the center’s local, regional, permanent and temporary leasing efforts
Management and development of center personnel
Communicate and partner with Corporate staff to accomplish special projects and increase involvement with the community
The successful candidate will be a professional that can demonstrate the ability to learn and execute on those tasks related to the AGM role listed above. Previous experience in property management or retail is a plus, but not required.
Experience and Training:
A Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
An entrepreneurial spirit and strong work ethic with a desire to work in a rapidly changing environment
