Our South Florida based client owns over 700 single tenant retail, office and industrial properties totaling 30 million+ square feet and is looking to hire an in-house senior leasing manager. The company will be repositioning properties and needs a deal maker who has a track record of defining the best use of a property and then implementing a leasing plan. The properties owned are between 5,000 to 2,000,000 square feet. The company will complete over 125 transactions annually.
Responsible for leasing various types and sizes of properties in the portfolio. Must be able to effectively market properties through all forms of media, including canvassing. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and coordinate activities with in-house property management/construction and legal departments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Pinpoint Tenants-identify who are the best users for a property and canvas them
Negotiate Letters of Intent; work with Legal on leases and follow up with Property Management on all transactions.
Must have strong, positive relationships with national, regional and local tenants
Work with property management to budget projects; know when a deal works and equally as important know (and admit) when it doesn’t.
Work with other leasing professionals in the office to come up with the right answers; view them as assets, not competitors
10+ years’ experience in commercial leasing.
Demonstrated deal-making experience with high profile regional, national and big box tenants.
Experience in completing larger, more complicated transactions
Well respected reputation throughout our industry
Ability to manage multiple projects throughout the country
Type of Individual:
Must be able to handle a direct relationship with the owners of the portfolio
Must be a team player able to work with and handle criticism from others.
Strong written and verbal communication, sales, and time management skills.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (minimum requirements):
B.S. degree highly preferred;
ICSC Membership and a track record attending national and regional conventions
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Yardi would be helpful, but not required.
