The Information Technology Director of Application Management develops strategy and provides management and support for all corporate software applications. This position is based in Chicago, IL.
Develops and maintains application strategy, with the Head of Information Technology.
Takes a leadership role in all application implementation, enhancement, and integration projects.
Develops and maintains expertise in primary application software platforms (JDE, Salesforce, Argus Enterprise, Cognos, etc.)
Works with department managers to determine needs for improvements or new application functionality.
Works with Application Project Managers, both internal and external, to ensure that software development projects are planned and executed appropriately, on-time, and within budget.
Works with the Director of Infrastructure/Service to ensure hardware, network, server impacts are coordinated for project delivery; and to ensure appropriate Help Desk support for application first level support.
Selects and manages outside service providers, with the Head of Information Technology.
Stays up to date on trends and developments within functional area of expertise and the Real Estate Retail industry.
May perform additional duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will be a professional with demonstrated experience in the role or a similar role. Strong preference for candidates with national mall ownership experience.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
A minimum of 9 years of diverse experience in multiple areas of technology, including Application Management.
Knowledge of Commercial Real Estate Applications, for example, JD Edwards Enterprise One, Cognos Planning Analytics, Argus Enterprise, Salesforce, Nexus, Concur, Sharepoint, preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Substantial knowledge of Commercial Real Estate industry and applications and strong financial background.
In-depth knowledge of IT functions and systems.
Strong software development lifecycle management background.
Strong knowledge of Business Intelligence systems and reporting.
Experience with end user IT support.
Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office suite and other business-related software systems.

Highly organized, with strong project management skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously

Ability to exercise professional judgment and assume responsibility for decisions which have an impact on people, quality of service and costs.
