Our client, a family-owned conglomerate with a fast-growing portfolio of shopping centers throughout the United States, is seeking experienced in-house Leasing Manager. The selected individual will be involved in all aspects of leasing services. The individual must be willing to grow with a dynamic company with a complete focus on servicing the company’s real estate assets. The ideal candidate will be an outgoing, driven and organized leasing manager and he or she must have retail leasing experience and established relationships with national tenants.
Responsibilities (including but are not limited to):
market presentations, coordinate information with other departments and brokers)
Create, administer, and update a strategic leasing plan for each property within the portfolio
Maintain regular contact with tenants and monitor lease expirations
Develop and grow relationships with national, regional and local tenants, as well as tenant brokers, business, civic groups, and individuals
Research competitive market information and maintain an understanding of market dynamics
Maintain and update various lease reporting summaries on a weekly basis
Have general knowledge of the local laws governing landlord/tenant relationships
Prepare basic to intermediate financial analysis showing multiple leasing scenarios
Conduct and oversee lease marketing campaigns
Skills and Experience:
Bachelor degree required.
3-5+ years’ experience in retail real estate leasing with verifiable deals and completed transactions.
Ability to multi-task, work successfully under pressure and effectively manage time and workload
Organization skills and being detail-oriented are very critical skills
Intermediate understanding of real estate fundamentals
Communicate tactfully, skillfully, and persuasively to negotiate long-term permanent leases with local, regional and national retailers
Ability to work independently and within a team to build relationships and interact effectively and in cooperation with the team
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong computer skills and proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Word software is required
