As part of our Business Intelligence & Strategy team, the Location Strategy Analyst will join a group of strategic professionals who are charged with providing actionable insights and business intelligence to the organization. This position is responsible for increasing the value of property assets by managing day-to-day research projects. Assist the Sr. Manager, Tenant Location Strategy in 1) assessing market and consumer dynamics and their impact on Brookfield Properties Retail Groups assets 2) analyzing the Company centers to determine current positioning and offer recommendations to address relevant issues for tenant performance 3) making recommendations concerning the viability of adding or retaining tenants in individual centers to positively impact long-term net asset value. Assume a proactive role in communicating research results and recommendations to the all levels within the Leasing Enterprise.
Assist the Sr. Manager, Tenant Location Strategy in contributing to the value creation process for designated properties. Manage property assessment including market analysis, anchor/tenant solicitation, leasing, and marketing. Requires ability to coordinate and complete multiple assignments in accordance with corporate and department goals, deadlines, and budgets.
Designing and writing data-driven marketing white papers and presentations to support the leasing process and deliver relevant information for external clients’ location strategy models.
Monitoring national, regional and local retailer business trends; reporting findings to Business Intelligence & Strategy team in a timely manner.
Prepare and present information, conclusions, and recommendations to management, internal customers, and key outside clientele.
Initiate contact with internal and external customers to conceptualize and outline study requirements for projects.
Establish and maintain contacts with appropriate personnel (i.e. area research or analytics departments) at key retail organizations, consulting firms, and other development companies.
Maintain current and future databases to ensure accuracy and timeliness of the data
Manage corporate resources effectively and efficiently. Focus resources on corporate goals and on high-success probability projects.

2-4 years of progressively responsible experience in market research analysis for a REIT, major retailer, real estate development/management company, major retail company, financial institution, or consulting firm
Strong knowledge of GIS technology, preferably ESRI
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint
Knowledge of, and experience with, retailing, shopping centers, consumer patterns, and quantitative research techniques
Ability to effectively communicate quantitative analysis to a broad audience
Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills
Strong analytical and advanced quantitative skills
Data visualization skills; familiarity with Microsoft Power BI or Tableau a plus
Strong project managerial skills
