This individual will be responsible for maximizing the performance of a national retail focused real estate portfolio through aggressive leasing, as well as achieving superior occupancy levels, resulting in increased revenue for the company by building and maintaining strong landlord/tenant/broker relationships within the industry. This individual will manage and source a broker network, canvas for new tenants, maintain current tenant relationships, and negotiate lease proposals, amendments, and lease renewals. This position will interface with other departments including Asset Management, Property Management, Legal, Construction, Accounting and Acquisitions.
Thisposition requires some travel throughout the United States.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Building and managing a pipeline of potential tenants
Negotiating new leases and lease renewals
Leading, strategizing and communicating with brokers
Strategically attending and facilitating regional ICSC events and conventions
Developing/maintaining long term relationships and database of retailers, developers and brokers
Working directly with Legal, Finance and Asset Management to structure contract agreements
Reviewing and approving letters of intent and leases to verify conformance with company goals and leasing objectives
Assisting in analyzing, collecting and presenting tenant financials and business plans for underwriting purposes
Must have 3-8 years of experience leasing retail assets, ground-up and/or re-development of big box or single tenant retail space.
Creative and aggressive deal closer, with exceptional negotiation skills
Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience
