Our client is seeking an Assistant Property Manager for a mixed-use property in Atlanta.The Assistant Property Manager is a fiduciary of the property owner, to whom the owner’s financial and material assets are entrusted, and who manages those assets in good faith, with loyalty and prudence.
The Assistant Property Manager (APM) lessens the burden of workload for the property manager in large properties or selected properties that do not have a property manager on site. In such circumstances, the property manager or higher authority delegates authority to the APM for certain duties.
Depending on staffing, the APM may also be called upon to perform some responsibilities ordinarily associated with the position of Property Administrative Manager.
The typical scope of responsibility includes active involvement in tenant relations, property events, security, property administration, contract performance, property appearance, property inspection, community relations, lease administration, expense management, and various financial and other reports to clients, tenants, and Company departments.
Focus will be on lease administration duties including lease abstracting, rent collections, sales collections, tracking overage rents, invoicing for bill-backs as well as building tenant relations. Financial responsibilities include AP and AR as well as review of financial package monthly and providing variance comments.
Outstanding assistant property managers are known for continually elevating the quality of work produced, and aspiring to make decisions and manage functions with a degree of proficiency ordinarily associated with higher-ranking positions.
Demands of the job may sometimes require overtime and deviations from normal working hours.

Education, Experience, and Proficiencies Sought
A Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or another relevant field of study; or a combination of education, training, and experience that provides the attributes necessary to successfully perform the job.
Must have experience in administration and management of resources.
At least two years’ experience in retail property management is preferred.
Proficiency in computer applications is required, especially Microsoft Office.
Experience in property management software is advantageous.
Must be capable of obtaining a real estate license if required by law.
