Responsible for the comprehensive performance of a 1.5 Million s.f. urban retail portfolio. New York City, Florida and West Coast assets. The Asset Manager will establish a strategic investment and leasing plan, routinely inspect the physical property and review the asset’s short and long term financial well-being. With support from Accounting Services and Real Estate Managers: manage, review, and analyze tenant billings, annual operating escalations, real estate tax escalation, utility billing, CPI calculations, etc. Direct all financing activities, banking relationships, investors/partnership relations, and reporting. Significant interface and connectivity with third party retail leasing and management firms is required. Construction and renovation experience will be instrumental
Manage the process of achieving superior returns on the real estate asset through active investment management and leasing.
Oversee the negotiation of leases with prospective tenants as well as develop strategies and budgets for leasing, marketing, annual operating expenses, construction, and capital improvements.
Analyze market conditions and trends and report findings to management.
Provide due diligence as part of the real estate acquisitions and disposition process.
Interface with real estate managers and leasing brokers on a daily basis.
Ensure the accuracy of property debt worksheets and financial reporting.
Review annual CAM reconciliation as well as lease termination transactions.
Periodically, but not less than annually, assess the strategic plan of the property (including the preparation, execution, and implementation of plans in connection with same)
Lead quarterly asset review of all property under direct management.
Minimum of 5- 10 years successful retail asset management and leasing experience.

Experience managing a retail real estate portfolio.
